Twix Bar Cake Shots

Two of my roommates, Rebecca and Tatiana, have their 21st birthdays within a few days of each other. For Rebecca’s birthday I made these Cake Shots inspired by her favorite candy, Twix bars. They are shot glasses filled with a layer of pound cake, milk chocolate hot fudge, chocolate mousse, and caramel, topped with more chocolate mousse and a piece of Twix bar.

Twix Bar Cake Shots

Ingredients:

  • Pound Cake (Either make from mix, or use pre-made)
  • Sanders Milk Chocolate Hot Fudge
  • Sanders Classic Caramel
  • Chocolate Mousse (I used a mix, but you could make it from scratch)
  • Twix Bars
  • Shot glasses
  • Mini Spoons

Directions:

  1. Take each shot glass and cut a circle of cake out of the sheet of pound cake.
  2. Push cake to the bottom of each shot glass.
  3. Fill piping bag or plastic bag with Sanders Milk Chocolate Hot Fudge and fill each shot with a layer of hot fudge.
  4. Do the same as in Step 3 with the chocolate mousse and the Sanders Classic Caramel.
  5. Top with a swirl of the chocolate mousse.
  6. Cut Twix bar into small slices, and put one on each shot glass.
  7. Enjoy using mini spoons (they are necessary)!
